Camp Fitch

For kids and teens entering grades 3 through 9

 

The Tradition Continues June 14-20, 2009
The Lake County YMCA will celebrate 35 years of resident camping at Camp Fitch next summer.  In keeping with the great tradition that has been established, campers will have the opportunity to enjoy swimming, arts and crafts, nature, archery, sports, horseback riding, campfires, chapel, canoeing, and more.  Campers & LITs arrive on Sunday afternoon and leave after breakfast on Saturday.

 

YMCA Camp Fitch
Camp Fitch is located on 450 beautiful acres on Lake Erie at North Springfield, PA.  Campers are divided into girls camp and boys camp.  Each has a recreation lodge for indoor activities, showers, and modern plumbing.  Campers live with six other campers and a counselor in one of Camp Fitch's unique cabents.

 

Counselor, CIT, and LIT Applications
Applications for counselors, counselors-in-training, and leaders-in-training will be available on January 1, 2009. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2009.

Registration and Fees

Camp Fitch registration will begin in January at the Central, East End, and West End Branches.  A $25 deposit per camper is due at the time of registration.  The balance of all fees is due May 31, 2008.

A copy of the REGISTRATION PACKET (Info Sheet, Health Form, Horseback Riding Form) will be avaiable online in January.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
To apply for a Camp Fitch Scholarship, complete the Camp Fitch Scholarship Form and return it to your Lake County YMCA branch by April 1, 2008.  Scholarships are only available to current YMCA members.

Fundraising opportunities are also available.  Check with your local branch.
