Ages 8 and up Want a taste of golf to see if you like the sport?Come join us for an introduction to the sport.An experienced golfer, and former high school coach, will help you learn the basics of the game: grip & basic swing,what each club is used for, and basic golf course etiquette. Each participant will hit a bucket of balls under the guidance of the instructor. All classes held at Red Mill Golf Practice Range in Perry. Ages 6-12 Students learn how to fall safely, get up, the beginning stride, and the importance of safety gear. Lessons usually start on the grass to give the kids a chance to get used to being on skates and to practice basic skills.Skates are provided, if needed.Our smallest skate size is a children's 13. Like all YMCA programs, the soccer program is mission driven.YMCA values say everybody plays regardless of ability.We do our best to balance the teams.There are no league standings, no all-stars or championships.Our focus is on building a community among the players that makes sports fun and by stressing cooperation over competition, fair play over winning at any cost, topping one's own best performance over topping others, and developing strong character over developing the next superstar.Players also have the opportunity to earn values awards.All games and practices held at the YMCA OFC soccer fields.
1st Game: September 11 (Games are always played on Saturday mornings on a rotating time schedule.)Schedules are available after practice begins.
Practices are held on weekday evenings.On the registration form you will be asked to provide us with at least two different acceptable practice nights.
Last Game: October 23 - Pizza parties and awards provided after all games.

Please remember that soccer deadlines are ALWAYS around the beginning of March for spring soccer and the beginning of August for fall soccer.These deadlines apply only to the 6-12 year-old soccer.We take the 4 & 5 year-olds indefinitely because they are grouped in chronological age and are less structured than the older kids!
Ages 4-6 You're never too young to begin to improve self-confidence, physical fitness, and communication skills.Here at the YMCA OFC we try to do these things in an atmosphere of caring, respect, responsibility and honesty.BUT MOST OF ALL WE HAVE FUN!!!!Everybody plays, receives a T-shirt and a participation award.We generally have 5-10 children in this class.All sessions are held on our outdoor basketball courts with adjustable hoops.

Ages 4-6 It's spring and that means baseball! We'll help build a healthy spirit, mind and body for your child thru a fun-filled program that begins to teach baseball FUNdamentals.Parent volunteer coaches lead the groups thru lesson plans and each session ends with a game.The children are divided into teams by age group.Everybody plays and receives a recognition award.There are no all-stars, championships or league standings-just good fun and exercise.All T-Ball activity is held on the soccer fields using throw- down bases. Ages 6 and up Week long tennis camp focus's on developing the basic skills, learning the rules of the game and the importance of good sportsmanship. A local high school coach utilizes age appropriate equipment and philosophy to create successful experiences while learning the fundamental of tennis. Ages 6-12 Explore baseball in a fun and safe environment. Learn throwing, catching, and batting. Learn field positions and basic concepts of the game. YMCA Flag Football is a recreational program designed for youngsters new to the sport of football as well as those not quite ready for tackle football. Kids will learn how to play the sport, brush up on the rules, tactics, and skills, improve their game and most importantly have fun. Program Date September 11-October 16 Sat 2-3pm
Ages 6-9 and 10-12 Our kid friendly camps are great for anyone that wants to improve thier skills and knowledge of various sports and learn about sportsmenship along the way.
